SMUG 2012

One great event ~ many great speakers! Free for all! April 20, 2012 ~ 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT
Westin San Diego, 400 West Broadway, San Diego

Goal:   To develop a unique conference format that will enable:

            1) Early career investigators to present new provocative ideas; and

            2) Dynamic interactions between and among the speaker and audience members.

 Format:  There will be two general formats.  They include:

1) Full Presentation (50 min). 

Speakers will deliver a 25 minute presentation and an equal amount of time will be allotted for active questioning.  Questions can come during or after the presentation and can be directed to the speaker or audience members.

 2) Brief Communication (30 min). 

Selected graduate students/postdoctoral fellows will deliver a 15minute presentation and an equal amount of time will be allotted for active questioning.  Questions will come after the presentation and can be directed to the speaker or audience members.

Event Details

SMUG 2012 is being held at the Westin San Diego (www.westin-sd.com). 

We are not charging a registration fee. Delegates will be responsible for breakfast and lunch on their own. Morning and afternoon breaks will be provided.
